The West Lancs and Merseyside myeloma support group celebrated its 100th monthly meeting by holding an afternoon tea social meeting at O'Briens, Ormskirk on Tuesday.
The event was well attended by 28 members who are all patients and carers affected by the blood cancer myeloma; social events like this make a big difference in helping to cope with the routine of hospital appointments and side effects from treatment.
The support group first started in January 2016 and has met every month since then even during the COVID pandemic when meetings were held remotely on Zoom.
The group arranged a nice cake to celebrate; pictured cutting it is Dave Lovelady from Ormskirk (left) with other founding members Pauline Conder from Skelmersdale and David Simister from Southport.
